Ok…. I lol'ed a bit right there. Now my cat thinks I am going nuts. But seriously, that looks no different than the other "EPOXY" filled intakes.

epoxy would be scary I think as the heat cycles over time I wouldnt want it to fall apart, but then again never heard of that happening. Some people weld in filler plates and have heard good results

It's pretty common for porters to change the flow of intake ports in heads with Epoxy, my ported Magnum R/T heads have some in a couple ports due to core shift...Been in there for 4 years, I'm getting to do a little smoothing on my ported Eddies where the pushrods were sleeved...

The biggest threat to epoxy in the intake ports on heads is alchohol and blended fuels, not heat cycling. But making a big chunk of it adhere to the top of a plenum is different than a thin layer...Makes me nervous, but might do it anyway and bolt it to the intake....LOL

I'm right now in the process of cutting the runners out of the Kegger. It also has the center divider. What if I just cut the runners out and leave the divider? What will just cutting the runners down do for the air flow? I have cut them down an inch.

97 (I think) was the last year for the center divider. In 98, (99?) even dodge removed it from the casting.

Yeah, I knew the 97 rams were the last year. That's what my truck is. I've been working on my truck for the past few days and ready to get done. So, what about it? It's going to be a job cutting that thing out of there. I do have an air grinder, though, but still a job nonetheless.

You are in no mans land, just as about anyone who does this mod. No one knows for sure what would happen. My stock intake had no divider, but the one I used as my moddified intake did, so I cut it out. I can't say at all if that was the right thing to do. I often wonder if leaving it in would act as a sort of turtle, much the same reason filler is used as talked about in the above posts. It would make the plenum space less, which is the whole point of a turtle/filler. So it might actually be a good thing. You would probably be one of the first on this forum to try it that way if you decide to leave the center divider in place.

Make a buncha cuts from the edge, as deep as you can, fairly close together. (an inch or so works.) Then, grab a chunk with a pair of vice grips, and just snap it out. (makes a satisfying noise when it breaks.....) Then, when you have more room to work, cut out the rest. I used a sawzall initially.
