yeah i like them so far, i think tho the stt is a directinal tire and they are more cash too, i see them on more diesels tho
The STT is NOT a directional tire. I would actually be surprised if it was on a diesel...correct me if I'm wrong...but the best you can get in an STT is a Load Range C. Most guys with Diesels tow to much to go down to a C rated tire.

they come in load range D. and I have them on my diesel

I cant remember what years but some years you can only get the speedo calibrated at the dealer. A programmer wont work because of where the speed is read. for some reason 98.5 is ringing in my head. I think that year it has to be done at the dealer.
Damn I forgot most of my 2nd gen knowledge

so i have recentley got new tires (285) and i went bigger then i had and some thoughts came to my head for them.

1 do they affect the way it reads mileage?

2 do over sized tires hurt the transmission/rear end if u dont get it tuned?

3 do they reduce the power of the truck or not?

4 should u get the pcm/ ecm reprogrammed for oversized so everything runs smother or does it not matter?

In October I put on 285/75/16 mud rovers, they kicked the **** out my milage (yes I am taking into account the slower spedo) I went from aprox 15.5 to 10.5 -11 mpg !!!

For the first day or two after installation I kept checking if my park brake was on the rolling restance is that great!!! I going to take them off and get the 20" hemi wheels

It depends on how you drive, I drive aprox 25k a miles year so for me losing 1/3 of my milage is a big deal.
