As a 43 year old teacher with a Masters, (1-8 Elem ed; 4-8 Social Studies; K-12 Special Ed Cross Categorgical) and a degree in Speech Communications, I would love to have something like this happen to me. Sometimes young guys get jerked around, because the authorites in question know they won't do anything about it. Us old dudes would just smile a wicked smile and say, "You go ahead and write that ticket officer Dick A. Hole" and stare right in their face. Of course they know 3 kinds of Hell would be about to be unleased as well as them explaining why they had the poor judgment to take the unit down a road they could not possible navigate (playing perhaps) to the media, the city council and the chief of police. They would be made the laughing stock of all officers, councilmen and business owners.

dude thats messed up. I would definatly do everything that everyone else said. Also give him a made up ticket foreither driving on turf if he was off the road when stuck or impedingtraffic if he was on the roadwhich is a legit ticket around here in the detroit area. I know there was snow on the ground but either way the whole scenario is BS. I know i would be in jail for assult on an officer. Thats not even right.

As a law enforcement officer, I would have been extremely grateful for you pulling me out. I have had my buddies come rescue me a time or two. As far as the ticket, call the prosecuting attorney and tell him that you just tried to help him out--but stay cool--if you get mad at him, it won't do any good. This guy sounds like a piece of work--to bad cops like that give the rest of us a bad name.

 

Bad cops happen. I was at a mardi gras parade the week before last and recived a marijuana ticket(was in car over 100yards from parade route). Well when they checked my name I had a warrant in some back parish (we don't have counties). The officer saw that I had nearly $400. I told him thats my bond money I guess. He told me "looks like it is" took it and walked off. He was with another undercover and they just laughed, and in a way I was mad. But I am 27, have never been arrested yet have been caught with drugs twice (I object to marijuana laws and drinking almost killed me and I hate cigs). I paid the traffic fine that was three years old in Acension parish and another fine in New Orleans for calling an officer an *******. (I was ticketed with disturbing the peace, inside the f'n superdome at a Saints game). I mean WTF. But you saw our cops stealing with the looters during the storm and with more murders than any other city, I don't trust them at all. Every month a crooked cops get caught on stealing or drug charges out here.

I just can't belive a Jefferson Parish deputy took my money. My friends say I should do something, but

1. I got a ticket for a jailable offense and

2. I didn't go to jail

3. I had won most of that money in the casino earlier that day.

Until police stop acting brainwashed and use human logic, I can never trust them.

I call bull**** on this whole story. Lets see some video proof. For my money it never happened. Sort of like the 420 RWHP stories. 7 miles in drifts up to the hood?? Please.

 

You really would have to be a sick F#@$ to do what the cop did to him. But dude it happens. I've known people to get choked to the point of their blood vessels popping in their eyes becuase a cop saw him swallow a pill. We have really bad cops here, everyone is corrupt here. It makes us the laughing stock of the whole damn country. We can't even get storm aid to the f'n people right. Mississipi is back, My neighbors house still has rotting sheetrock; of course thats his problem and as I speak code enforcement is out there, yes tear the f'er down.

Anyway it happens. The number #1 reason I ordered a rearview camera is, I have no trust in them. From now on I am going to have a DVR and that camera, I may even get a mic and a front camera. I just don't trust them.

I believe this story because most people I know who became police, act lobotimized now and are tools. They can f you so they will. Sometimes you meet that officer friendly, but its rare. At least here.
