Default Truck Teardown

I started pulling all the damage off the truck the other day, today I mostly finished it. About all I have left to take off is the intake, the rivits in the shell of the dash, the heater core, and the ac (which is staying out I believe). After that its going to be a labor intensive process of cleaning and doing it again to the parts truck. Its really not as bad as I thought it was going to be. About 5 hours and most of the problem areas are taken care of. Monday Im taking a vacume to the engine bay and a bunch of windex and 409. Then tues, im pulling the seats, carpet, and windshield, and going to clean up the floor, and shampoo the carpet. Thurs, I believe Im going to take the dash out of the parts truck and then the windshield if I have time (Happy Birthday to me). Then the monday after that thurs ill start re-assembally, and once everything is back together Im taking off the hood and sandblasting that and putting it in primer and ordering another scoop. Should be done in another two weeks if I can stay on schedule.

Are you going to customize the new dash i.e. paint it to match the truck?

LOL damaged is an understatement. When that went up it caused most of the damage.

Idk. I might fool arround with the gauges and replace the stockers with autometer ultralites. Other than that Id like to keep it stock.
