Default Need to know what this is fast

I decided to try and change spark plug wires today. I've done it before on this truck and never had a problem but today I had to just mess something up. When putting in the number 8 wire I heard something crack when I fishing it to the back. After it cracked I heard it sound like air shot out for a few seconds. This is where I'm thinking oh crap. Well, Here is what seems to have broken. Anyone know what this is and how to get it fixed? If I buy a new part whats involved in fixing it? Is it something I should be able to get done fairly quickly? I'm hoping this is the case. Can it be driven like this? Anyway, here are some pictures of what I'm talking about. Thanks.

Here is what goes into something on the firewall.

Here is what the other end of the cable or hose or whatever went to on the intake.

That's the vacuum supply for your heater controls, 4x4, and cruise .
Did you break the tee or one of the plastic hoses?

In the first picture where you can see it ends is where it broke off.

What all do I have to change to fix this? Is it a simple fix or is it something major?

It's nothing major.
You might be able to splice in a new piece of hose.
Get some rubber vacuum hose that fits tightly over the broken plastic hose and connect it to the stub left onthe tee in pic 1
It's ok to drive with it broken

Thats what someone over on PS said do. Here was my reply with my other ?s to him. I'm just going to ask here too since I figured someone can help me.

I couldn't get it apart at the T. I didn't want to pull to hard in fear of breaking it more though. Would it be okay to just put a piece of hose on that plastic line coming out of the T. What little I have left then hook the rubber hose to the other end of the line? Would this be a fix? I was thinking of putting zip ties or clamps on it to fix hold it down. Would this be a permanent fix or should I look into eventually doing something better?
Do I need to do anything before starting it up after I put it together or will it fill itself with air like it was?
Thanks.

That's fine. You shouldn't need zip ties. Just get hose that fits tightly over both ends.
As soon as you start the engine after repairs there will be vacuum there.
Should be good to go.

The guy at Advance said don't clamp it as it will cause it to break. It was a little loose on the T side so I put a zip tie on it. Is that okay?

I did the same thing changing cap and rotar. Take the broken pice out of the T. You will have to do the same thing to the other end, then figure out how long of piece you need. Go to advanced and get windshield washer & vacum tubbing. I used 5/32 six foot is like 5 bucks.

I couldn't get the broken piece at the T out. I didn't force it as I didn't want to make it worse so I just hooked a hose from Advance on the piece of plastic left and then again on the plastic on that was left from the other side. It seems to run okay now.
