Default green mist

at high RPMs my truck sprays a nice green mist of antifreeze all over the place under the hood. i recently replaced all hoses, TS & gasket, water pump, radiator, and cap. the green mist is new problem now. at low RPMs it holds enough to not overheat. what the heck could this be? it seems to be coming from the engine side rather than the radiator.

thanks for any help.

Sounds like you need to have a buddy stand to the side of your truck with the hood open. revyour truck a few times if its high rpm's and see if he can spot the leak. I mean look for the leak man.... If you just replaced all of that it could be any of them.

If I had to guess, I would say either (A) one of your hose clamps did not get tightened completely, or (B) your thermostat shifted slightly and is preventing your thermostat housing to mate up correctly with the gasket and block.

Check all of your hose clamps and then look at the thermostat housing.

Good luck.

zgo to Autozone and buy a UV leakfinder kit. It comes in handy for all leaks.

Put a little in the radiator, run the motor for a while. Get the glasses that come with the kit and put them on, look around with the little Blacklight. The die is easy to spot with the glasses on, you should be able to trace its source.

I used this for oil leaks and water leaks and it works great, I think Harbor freight may even have it cheaper. Makes finding leaks a five minute deal.

doesnt anybody know how to fix their own truck anymore, Not tryin to be D*ck but damn dude were not psychics that magically know whats wrong with your truck. Double check all of your work and you should find it, sounds like the coolant is being"misted" by the fan, so check the water pump

thanks for the tips guys but you know how i told you i replaced all hoses? well i didn't replace the little bypass hose from the water pump. it was the problem. when i reved it up, coolant spewed out there right into the fan. whe i took that hose off it looked like a nasty turd - all bulging and had at least one hole. it has a nice new hose now and no leak. thanks again.
