Changes about to go down.
I'm not too worried about it. I've been thinking about getting an nv4500 anyways. Hopefully before my current one take a crap on me. But if you wanted another automatic wouldn't it just make sense to get a 47re?
Also I hear good things about dr. evil trannies.

I don't think a 47RE will fit behind a 5.2 or 5.9. The 47RE is Huge and I've only seen them mated to V10 and Diesel engines. The Converter is massive too and I'm pretty sure the bell housing is much bigger than the 46RE. Pretty sure it won't just bolt up.
Well in regards to the sway bar, I took some shots last fall when I wanted you guys to see if I needed a thuren trackbar. So here are some shots of the front, hope these can help.

I think I feel confident though with what I want to do at this point. Obviously my transmission isn't in the greatest shape at this time. I don't really see me buying a $2,000+ transmission right now either. I'm somewhat hoping I can get away with a relatively cheap fix on this transmission, and then milk it as long as I can. Also, I think by lowering the truck back down to size and putting 285s on her this will cause less wear on the transmission, and will eliminate any more damage to the front end due to the mismatched lift on the truck. I'd feel much better bringing the truck back down to size and putting those 285s on her and just waiting till I can afford a true lift kit like the 5'5 Fabtech. That way everything will be matching and it will be done right the first time, instead of trying to part out a half *** liftkit with coil spacers. When I get my truck back, I need to check what gearing it has. If it in fact has 4.56s, that would be awesome, it would mean I wouldn't have to buy them in the future, and would mean I'd have even more torque with smaller sized tires. I highly doubt though that I have 4.56s, I just couldn't imagine the previous owner would spend any kind of extra money like that....just look at the lift that's on the truck. What do you guys think of this final outlook? And, I will buy that plenum kit that you guys have shown me, and install it with myself. I just cannot afford a new transmission right now, so if I can get it repaired, I'm just going to be really easy on it, no more peeling out, just keeping it cool. This way when I get it lowered back down to offroad height, nothing else will be getting further damaged in the front end either, and I'll have a nice smooth and healthy ride with a great flowmaster sound[8D]. Then, later down the road when I can afford some nice 35" tires, and the Fabtech 5'5 Liftkit, and a nice strong new transmission like the fastman, or the dr. evil, then I'll be living up high again. You guys think I'm on the right track with this move? I just don't see any sense in trying to put money into a liftkit that sucks to begin with while I also have a transmission in need. Feeling me on this? And thank you all for putting your 2 cents in with the plenum, and the transmission, and the liftkit stuff, you guys literally save me, so thank you!

The bad part is that, depending on the shape your tranny is in right now, you may not be able to get by with a cheap fix.[:@] I hope that's not the case, but if they say it needs a rebuild, chances are, you would be just as well off to get a new one. You will probablypay around 2K for a rebuild, so just hope for the best.
Not trying to be a downer...sorry.

I agree with you, and there is no sense in trying to deny that possibilty. If it breaches anything into the $1,000 range, there is no way I would rebuild it. I'm hoping for like $300-650 TOPS to get the thing fixed. If it gets into the thousand dollar mark, then thats pretty much the fineline where you'd be retarded to invest that much into a stock tranny. So if it's a reasonable price that can hold off buying a new tranny for at least a year, then I will take that step. I really would like to avoid having to spend $2,000+ dollars right now though, I don't have that kind of money...at all. So lets hope it's something not too big of a deal.
Yeah hopefully you can get it fixxed cheap. I have a feeling though it's going to be like mine where you might can milk it for a month or two but it sounds like it's close to getting bad.
Oh as for the body lift yes if you put it on it wont put stress on your suspension parts. The tires still will though if you run big tires. The big tires usually wear stuff out quite a bit faster and it will still do that you just won't have a supsension lift thats thrown together. This is if you remove the spacers when installing the body lift that is.

Ya it looks like the sway bar is there and hooked up. [:@]
It was worth a try anyway.
By lookin at some of those picks on your photo bucket pageI'm thinking those are the stock coils with a 2-3" spacer and not an actual lift though.

Have you checked the shots? They look old and rusty and just plain bad. Push down hard on the front and the vehicle and see if it keeps bouncing after you let go. If it does you need new front shocks. I'd put those on and take those spacers out asap and hope the tires don't rub too bad.
The shocks look pretty rough but with all the salt they spray on the east coast it doesn't take long for stuff to look like sh*t.
Without driving it, it's read hard to diagnose the problem if there really is one.
The stock shocks are way to soft but those don't look like the stockers.
New ones might be the difference. Dual fronts would be even better with a HD steering stabilizer.
SilverDodge had a new dual shock kit he was selling a while back.
