LOL jesus! And see I would never do that with my truck. Would you rock a big lift and 35s if you weren't passionatly into mudding? Obviously I'm the idiot who roasts the tire, and you were the guy who sticks his truck in mud in the old days like that, but same results. I've learned my lesson no doubt, I just got to see what I want to do with the truck. If I keep the lift and 35s, I need to be commiited to not romping on the pedal anymore, period. First I just need to see what's going down with the transmission. I got some good thinking to do with where I want to go with this truck in the long haul. I either got to be commited to the big lifted truck, or commited to putting it down to size and giving it a new wrapper.
Well, just to say man to man. I i got my truck a little beat up but I looked at it more as a toy, goin fast, big mudd pits etc etc. Instead of looking at it as a means of transportation. And well it all catches up to u really fast with some big cost that you could have avoided. Just telling u man to man treat ur truck good and it will treat u good. If not it will be just a money pit.

Last pic. this is 5'5 lift on 35's and i'm ducking to get in -_-

I think some all terrain tires might be best for your type of driving. Seems like you like to take long trips, and more street and in pretty bad weather conditions. I reccommend the general grabber a/t2's in 285/75/16's. Still a big tire yet with great a/t performance.

Yeah know what your saying. I feel bad for romping on her so much. I just want to get her fixed, and not have to deal with it again. How much am I looking at for a pretty much bulletproof transmission on this truck, even if I decide to put 285s on her?

i payed like 2,300 bought and put in BRANNEW. Now u can buy a rebuilt one for a bit cheaper. But also talk with the place that u are having it done. You can for about 500 more you can have a manual instead if ur interested in that.

Ah man, that sure is a lot of damn money. Although it will pretty much last the life of the vehicle afterwards. I'll keep you and everyone updated here with the transmission shops says tomorrow when they call me. Thanks for everyones' help.

Give Wanye at APS a call. He can set you up. I paid around $3600 for mine but they had a cheaper one for I think around $3100. You can also get a brand new stock one for under $2k from him. I'd do that way before I got mine rebuilt. I then spent $150-200 for a B&M tranny cooler kit to replace my factory cooler and $50 or so labor to put tranny in and $150 to put cooler on as they had to make lines for it.

I have a 2 year unlimited milage warranty btw. The only thing that worries me is I will have to pull and replace it myself or pay a shop to do it if I do have a issue.

This post just grows and grows. I'm trying to keep up with the reading but I'm still on like page 5... anyways, where I left off reading I saw that you were gooing on about different tire sizes and how they would look. All I gotta say is What the in the world are you whining about!?![sm=alcoholic.gif] If I were in your shoes, the tires would be the last thing on my mind to deal with. If they still have tread, and they still look good, then why spend close to a thousand bucks getting new tires and rims or something like that. Your money would be better spent dealing with your chassis, tranny, and suspension issues. Tires are the least of your worries. Focus on how your truck performs, not how it looks. handle the important stuff first, then later on if you still feel the need to spend the cash that's burning a hole in your pocket, I'm accepting donations round the clock... Make checks payable to...[sm=burnout.gif][sm=escape.gif]
