Default RE: Lamest thread of the month

On a side note---I bet I paid less for my 2001 Dodge ram 2500 v10 with 99k miles on it (also excellent condition), than Hometheaterman or pcfixerpro paid for their 1500's.
I don't know about pcfixerpro but I bet you did when it comes to mine. I paid almost 18k for mine. As you can guess from that I've had it for several years.
cnorris, my intentions were not to cause a confrontation, but rather to just ask why in neon's situation you feel that a 2500 was more benifical than a 1500. And as far as who paid the least, it doesnt really mater. But if you must know, I got my truck for 6500 bux out the door with new rebuilt tranny. 01 ram 1500 5.2L auto ext cab short bed 4x4w/ 86K. Oh, and I would like to point out that the tranny was rebuilt and paid for by the previous owner. I drove the truck off the tranny's rebuild shop lot. Cost him 2800 with new torque converter and complete rebuild with synthetic fluid. While he may have not gotten the best deal with the rebuild, thats his decision. I think I made out pretty well imho. My buddy's 01 2500 5.9L cost him 12k with about 70k miles used (with the tranny making buzzing noises). Just want to say that I am happy with my truck, and holds up to my reasonable expectations.
