I agree. Both companies have been around since 2nd gens were "new" trucks and thier reputation is pretty stellar. Generally parts are made "to order" and with the interest in our trucks waning with time, it would be crazy to keep inventory.

The only caution I have is on the crossover steering. The hiem joints when worn get pretty loose and theres no way to lubrucate them. Usually they're not recomended for daily drivers. Most guys who convert a true dd wish they hadn't. You'll also have to drill your spindles out as well.
BTW, I'm not knocking the quality or design of this system. If my truck were "trail only" with bigger diffs and tires I'd convert.
A better and reasonable solution is to convert to the 98.5 1ton "crossover" steering. It gives you the benefits of the tighter feel and road handling along with greasable and easily replacable tie rods.
I have been running this system almost 2 years now and I love it. Why dodge came up with the "Y" system is a mystery to me.

Just buy new tierods. Both steering "systems" are a perverted cross between street duty and race duty. Go all the way, or stay stock.

Not only is NONE of DT's Profabs stuff made in china I am willing to bet that 99% of it is made in AZ. Just because they do not accept walk in traffic means nothing.

I am a Manufacturer of motorcyle parts about 10 miles from DT we also do not sell retail from our shop you can order online or buy from one of our dealers, on another note not only do we not allow walk in traffic we actualy keep the doors lock 50% of the time.

Just like angryswede said if you live so close maybe you should stop by see the shop and talk to the guys you will see that they have a very capable shop that builds all of their stuff right there. I have been in their shop they even make there jam nuts in-house.

This subject hits home because like I said I to manufactuer parts (motorcyle parts though) right here in the USA and have done so for the past 32 years every single item that we make is made in the US if it is not made in house it is made by US companies.
