Default Newbie here!

Hey all you Dodge fans...

I just bought my first Dodge and so far I really like it. It is a used 99 Dodge Ram 1500 4X4 Quad Cab. I purchased it from a guy about 45 minutes from me and he purcahsed it from somewhere in Texas. It has the Ranch Hand bumbers and brush gaurd setup but looks like it might have had a winch at one time and someone cut out the bottom rail which I am guessing the winch was welded to and was easier than cutting winch off?

I have ran into only a couple problems so far; Had to flush the radiator and heater core, dash has several cracks in it, ABS and Brake light stay on and missing a couple center caps on passenger side.

I do have a couple questions for some of you guys and I apologize for them being on first posts and all but hopefully I will be around here a lot more. Thinking of buying a dash pad like the ones found on ebay. However, they only come in black and you have to paint yourself. Anyone know a place to buy these other than ebay and where to buy the paint to paint them to match original? Should I leave it up to a body shop? Can you buy them to match interior already?

How about the center caps? I notice you have several sponsors here and don't have time to check them all out right now but figured maybe someone has done the same and bought theirs from one of the site sponsors and could direct me to a good experience?

So you really are colorblind. It's far from gray. If saddle is the other option then that's the one. Because your interior is tan colored.

Welcome to DF Chris! Looks like a sweet truck inside, and from your post sounds like a sweet truck outside as well. Enjoy the Forum!

I bought a set of wheel caps a long time ago I have three left. PM me if you want them.

Get a "cover-lay" dash cover they work really well and are easy to put in.

The ABS and Brake lights are probably a bad sensor or broken wire. You won't know for sure until you have a shop scan it. You really should fix that, though. ABS has saved my butt many a time.

You know the part that sucks is that all of the shops around here want $70.00 just to check it out. Almost worth going ahead and buying the sensor and replacing and if that doesn't work it would obviously be wiring somewhere. Either way I would be out the money...lol
