I own a 2000 dodge dually ram 3500 4x4, I Really NEEEED more mpg. Avg. 9.7 mpg all around empty!! I have installed the following: true duals, spacer under throttle. air intake. upgraded ignition coil, wires, distributor cap. leveled the front. and i am running 315/75/r16's.I am really in need of help here, my wife is going to make me sell if i cannot get better mpg. I am easy as can be on it(baby the throttle every where).no codes from computer, run 89 octane fuel(+)going to replace O 2 sensor over weekend. PLEASE help if you can, it's an automatic trans.I have also put royal purple products everywhere and just had the front end aligned!!B&G intake cleaned as well. thanks!

First is to search on here (in the links up top), there's a bit of advice to getting better mpg's. Silver has one of them, but here's my list:

1) Smaller tires
2) Check your plenum
3) Remove that stupid throttle spacer and use the money for gas!

If you really "NEEED" better mpg's...you are driving the wrong vehicle...go get a geo metro.

trade it for a cummins. you'll not get any decent mpg out of a gas burner.

Four wheel drive+huge tires=you are doomed to low mpg. I get 16 and have a 2wd, drive 55, 98% hwy too. Iman up and shell it out.

You knew what you were getting into with a 360 4wd anyway, 6000+lb truck anyway.

Wouldn't it be a v10. He said 3500.
