I was just under the assumption replace what exists now, or have an open differential like some have suggessted. What's your opinion, if you were in my situation?

Ya know, I'm 20 and never had that "romp on the pedal" stage in my life. Now i have a v8 and miss my straight 6.

I think im the opposite. I hated my straight 6! All 200 CID of it haha, but I love my v8
well i had a 250 with a 350TH tranny in my 75 nova. wasn't a track warrior but man I could cruise at 80 and not hear anything rattle. Nothin like cruisin by mr white collar in his toyota corrolla in your big ol metal classic.

LSD is a Limited Slip Diff , Posi means when those tires are turning all the time , another words when you make a turn the truck will want to go straight , which you gotta be careful in wet ,ice , snowie weather ....Just get an AUBURN LSD , comes with directions that you can do your self..

I have a posi right? Where both tires spin all the time. So don't get the Detroit? Auburn a safer call? And thank you.

to be really cheap on a open diff you can weld the spider gears , and get a posi... There is a slight difference between LSD and a Posi ... posi is full power at the rear wheels at all times... of course the LSD will only come into play if one side starts to slip , then it will add full power to both wheels..

So I'm seeing somewhat of a split here. Silver_Dodge and Cereal think I should save the money and make it an open diff. PA thinks I should get the Auburn put in to replace the existing damaged posi? What do to do, what to do..

Does anyone have any experience with Richmond lockers? I have a buddy that had one in a ford and it seemed to work really well and for Dodges I think they run like $400??
