Ah man do I really love this thing though! Hell, if it wasn't as sharp of a truck as it is, I really would have contemplated getting rid of it instead of putting a $4,000 loan into it. But I know it's a great truck, so selling it just seemed stupid considering I wouldn't ever be able to find something like it again!

In a nutshell I do direct care with mentally disabled clients. It's our family business. We provide housing for 6 clients right now, but we're continuly looking to expand clientele. So as you can see its a 24/7 job. All of these clients require two staff to be with them 7 am - 11pm everyday. And all of them need one person to do the overnight for them as well, so you can see where the hours stack up. I go in Friday night at 9pm, do my overnight shift. Then I wake up there and work all day Saturday 7am-11pm. Then I do the saturday overnight shift. Then I wake up again there and work all day Sunday 7am-11pm and then do the overnight once more. Then I get relieved 8am Monday morning and then head off to my 10am class. Then through out the week I will do 5 hours here and there at the different houses to make sure I get over 50 hours. LOL a little confusing, but that's how I manage my 52 hours a week during my weekened shift.

Oh ok. Well that's cool. Be thankful your in a family business, working for bigger corporations (i've worked for Disney, SeaWorld, Tupperware and a large Timeshare in Orlando) isn't very much fun. To get 52 hrs there you literally kill yourself quicker. Unless you do something you love that is. If only I could get hooked up as a Football analysist in some from or another. Gotta keep those dreams alive.

Ok way off topic now, how about those gears? lol.

Ah still waiting to hear from them. I have a feeling they probably won't ever check or at least until they start to fix the pinion seal leak. If they don't check, I'll just do it when I get it back next week, but I'm going to have to find a nice runway to do it because I don't even have any jacks to jack my truck up. Damn I want to know though, it's buggine me. I can't tell you how psyched I'd be if it did have 4.56s though. That would make me feel even better about this transmission knowing it was heavy duty, that it had a large tranny cooler, and a deep dish tranny pan as well. It'd have everything going for it to make it bulletproof. I did get a good look at the tranny pan and it does really sweet. It's all chromed out and it's very thick. Should look nice under the truck as well. Anyways I'm just really excited that the truck is getting a major overhaul. I know it's costing me and arm and a leg, but I just am relieved that I'm dealing with this problem now. I knew the transmission was never strong, in fact it ruined the ride how it was always jumping up and down just when I was coasting through backroads, that tranny was just hanging on by a thread. Can't wait to have this transmission that's going to be designed specifically for my truck, will make me feel much better.

Do you know if he upgraded his gear ratio from the stock 4.10s?
Sorry for the delay. His truck is not offroad. It is a Sport and he has 3.55 gears...lifted 8" with 37's![sm=confused06.gif] He said he has no trouble with low end or take off... He is going to regear, though. He's got a Skor lift kit and is getting regeared at the same place he got the lift. I think he said something like 4.88 gears? But he is also bumping up to the new Interco LTB 47's...and more lift.

LOL jesus, he must really be into the offroading deal. But yes he should defiantly get into some bigger gears. The transmission shop where my truck is right now was already giving me a little heat for running 35s on a minimum of 4.10s! 37s are a HUGE strain on a transmission, especially when its undergeared. But I'm suprised he doesn't complain of lock of power. Many guys here have 3.55 gearing with their 35s and they complain about how it has no movement getting onto the highway and sustaining speeds etc.

I guess he's planning on running 2.5 ton rocks under it? 47s will snap 1-ton axels. I'm surprised he isn't snapping 1/2 ton axels with 37s.
