Hello all,
My 2001 5.9 4x4 ram has been starting alittle hard lately. Well it actually is that when I first crank it over it will turn over for about 3 to 4 seconds before it starts. It has not been really cold (in the 20' and 30's) and I always turn the key on and let the fuel pump prime first. If I start to crank the engine and then turn the key off and then try to start it again it will start right up. I did just do a tune up with new plugs, wires, cap and rotor. I am just wondering what this could be or if my fuel pump could be getting weak. Thanks in advance.

 

sounds like the same problem i was having when my fuel pump/filter was either clogged or going bad. once i replaced it, all was better. but id wait to see what some others think
