i think you're out of luck waiting on pictures. a right-click, view posts by nimzo says he hasn't posted since that little group in march 08. all the pictures were lost in the software update last summer.

I also cannot view the pics on how you lifted the bed, you can email me @ sethsmiller@yahoo.com. If you could that would be great, thanks.

Thank you so much!
This IS the way it's done. Ppl are cutting out their beds and have all sorts of bad information.
This worked for me and I tell you what, nothing is scarier than not having a vehicle! Now my 96 Ram 1500 starts up better than before....(and those a-holes at sears were trying to sell me a new alternator and starter)

Tip: If your Fuel Pump Locking Ring is not budging get a 1" Ratchet strap from Walmart(4$), a hammer, and a wood block. If you don't know what to do with these items then you shouldn't be attempting this job.
Or bust it, its a 20$ part from the Dodge dealer.

If you actually USE your truck, AS a truck, cutting a hole in the bed is a bad idea. It compromises the integrity of the bed, and bad things happen later. (not to mention that stuff can sift down right on top of your gas tank.....)

Don't do it. Lift the bed, or drop the tank. Don't go hacking up your body work. There is a brace for the bed that runs RIGHT where you need to cut.
