turns over alot when warm.fuel pump?
sorry if u remember this post but i only got 2-3 responces.i the morning the truck starts up great, then after driving and it gets all warmed up and i shut it off to go in the store, when i go to start it up it turns, and turns, andturns then fires up.but if i turn the key let off after a sec or two then turn it again it will start right up.fuel pump?regulator?if its the reg can i put an aftermarket in with the stock?
i thought it is ether the whole pump or just the regulator and this is why, once its warm and it turn over and turns over once it does start i get dark smoke, now i would think that the fuel press is to high, and once i shut off the engine the fuel sneaks by the injectors to releive the pressure, then because of that slitly flooding it,causing it not to fire right away.i also get smoke in the morning to but at that time it does start right up.im just throwin stuff out there.
I have the exact same problem on my truck. Cold engine - starts fine, warm engine - cranks and cranks, but does not start. Key off, then on and it starts right up.

maybe your evap purge solenoid is bad/going bad. there was a thread a while back about that thing making the truck crank and crank for longer than usual before it would finally start.

when it's warmed up , try opening the throttle just enough to allow some air in , if it starts right away , suspect the IAC and proceed to remove and clean the TB and sensors . Make sure the air filter is clean also .
The way I see it . fuel and spark should be a constant on something that runs good . I think the issue is air delivery . Cold engines have cool dense air in the system to begin with , hot engines rely on cool air being delivered .
What kind of spark plugs are you running ?

you should hear the fuel pump when you turn the key over like said above^^...
On another note, Could be a leaky FPR?
And Isnt the computer in OPEN loop mode when first started Cold for the first time in the day? So maybe when you have probs when warm it could be an O2 sensor. Just throwing that out there.
You really cant rely on the computer telling you whats wrong all the time..(by that i mean, it wont always tell you whats up). But are there any codes? How does the exhaust smell?
