How to find out exactly when your truck was built
I'm looking around for parts for my truck, 1998 Ram 1500, and sometimes get asked if it was mad before or after 4/20/98. Does anybody know how I can tell. I didnt know how to search for this on here so if it's already been posted, don't kill me! I'm looking to replace the dash (replace the entire thing rather than cover the cracked top). So, on a second note, how hard will that be?
As usual, thanks!

No I got it at the Dodge dealership a year and a half ago or so maybe a little longer but not quite 2 years yet and it's starting to crack again at one of the bolt holes. I'm hoping its just from the bolt but I have my doubts. It's just tiny cracks that are hard to notice right now. I wouldn't get one at a salvage yard as I'd be afraid it would crack a week after I put it in.
Anyway on the install it took about 3 hours with me and the mechanic I used to work with both working on it. It was a pain but we eventually got it done. You basically had to lean the dash forward to get some of the bolts out. Just not a fun ordeal but we didn't exactly know what we were doing as we hadn't done it before. He had done some stuff with Dodge dashs but I don't think this.
