Did the truck have the newer 5.7L Hemi or the older big-block?

I'm asking because it really would not be all that hard to put a carbureted 426 big-block Hemi and 727 Torqueflite into these Rams.

I'm pretty sure I saw a 2nd generation Ram with a big block 426 at a car show once. I'll have to flip through my pictures to see if I've got one. Other than custom mounts, I don't think it would be that hard. You wouldn't need to worry about computers or wiring, and the interior gauges could just be Autometer or some other aftermarket brand.
