To be honest, I have seen people use this type of product and the amount of increased performance is miniscule. I would almost recommend (even though this one is only $20) that you try these little magnets that go on the side of your oil filter. You would probly get better performance because you would be taking out harmful particles out of your engine and keeping your engines life alot healthier.

You have to ask yourself,

What does a magnet stick to? The answer is Iron and a very few other elements. Gasoline (straight chain octane molecules in particular) is C-8 H-18: 8 carbon atoms and 18 hydrogen atoms, neither of which are magnetic. Oxygen, the catalyst for combustion, is also non-magnetic. So do you really think that the magnet is going to affect gasoline, oxygen, combustion, or performance one bit?

There is an old thread you can search for here on the benefits of the magnetic oill filter sleeves, I suggest reading it.

It is supposed to align your gasoline molecules (who knew they were magnetic). You then have to ask yourself were does the gas go? If you have MPI it is sprayed. So much for alignment. There is a sucker born every minute. If it was true, and worked, you truck would have had one from the factory.

Try driving 55 for one tank of gas. Please. Save your money.

No, magnets do nothing. Gasoline is not ferro-magnetic, therefore, magnetic fields have no effect on it whatsoever.

Thanks!

The hood scoops came from Summit Racing:

They are flat black out of the box. So, I just sprayed a little clear coat on them and stuck them on the hood.
