I would not reset it before you go. A PCM reset usually causes the truck to run rich until it dials in all the parameters. This might cause you to fail an emissions test.

close silver , if you reset your pcm who cares about it running rich cause as soon as they hook the computer up to yours , and they see that its been reset (AUTOMATIC FAIL) No if ands or buts...

It could take a week depending on how and how oftenyou drive for the PCM to run all the self tests on the Emission system.
Like PA said they will either fail you automatically or make you come back for a retest if all the monitors haven't run.

They said on the news the other night that my county is only within 1% of the limit on emissions when they did a recent environmental test. That means, if we cross that threshold again, they will start up the program again.

ya, thats what i thought,i figured it would run rich, but i didnt think they hooked up y,to my computer,i thought they justwould probe my... (because the gov.are aliens) truck.....lol.
see, i live in ct,and we used to have a very hard to pass emisions,then that got voted colsed about 6 yrs ago,then we had no emisions for about 4 yrs,and now we have emsions but i havent been through yet so i dont know how bad it is.
