I thought about your post on my way in to work today.
at 65MPH I am roughly at 1600 RPMS.
I took a picture, but I had some serious sun glare, but you can see I am doing about 65-67mph and its at 1600rpms roughly.
I am in a stock 1500 QuadCab with 265/75/16 and 3.55 rear ratio. I also know my speedo is accurate because of the radar trailers they put on the side of the road. they had one on my route to work in 3 different places last week.

I will take a better picture tomorrow AM when the sun isn't so high.

So... I am guessing if you have 3:92 or 4:10s you might be revving higher.

Has anyone ever put together a reference chart for normal RPM ranges under different conditions?

I would say your running about right where a truck should run........ill trade you gears, 3.55's suck unless you have 28" tires

I have a 318, but its a manual transmission, but at 65 I run about 1600 to 1800 rpms in 5th gear, so i dont know, for an automatic that might not be to far off
