need help...This one is gonna stump you guys
Before I even start let me tell you guys that this is not my truck thats broken down, but its something with the same motor and trans. 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.2 auto. About 2 months ago the transmission went out and we finnaly got a new one put in last weekend. Got everything done and the truck wont start. The motor just turned over with no spark. Pulled the codes and it turned out that when we bolted the trans to the motor that we mashed the crankshaft position sensor wire until it got cut. So I went to autozone and got another one.
Now I have never changed the CPS on my truck, but it looks fairly easy to get to. That is not the case on the jeep because they crammed a big ol' engine into a car besigned for a I-6. So to get to the CPS, we disconnected EGR tube and Valve, Some vacuum hoses and two injector wires. and it was still a pain in the neck to get to (my arms just dont bend that much lol). Anyway so I got that all put back together and the engine crunk and ran horrible. So I figured I fouled the plugs flooding it the other day, so last night I went to town got a set of plugs.
Now the truck runs ok, but its still not right. The truck idles good, but when you rev it up to say around 1500-1600 and you hold it there like you were cruising, every once in a while it just cuts out and goes to around 1000, but just for a second then it goes right back to 1500.
Am I missing something here, I just cant figure it out. The computer isnt throwing any codes, I tried running some injector cleaner through it, but no help. I've checked everything over and over and I just cant figure it out. Sorry for the long post. Any help is appreciated

Is it possible you damaged the EGR unit somehow? Did you mash any exhaust piping when you installed the tranny?
Also, check that your kickdown cable is adjusted properly with the new tranny. the TV cable should move at exactly the same time as the throttle cable, assuming it's the same as our rams.
