Well.. I dont know if anyone happend to catch a few posts from me a while back.. but here is the down low. I've lived in dallas for about 7 months, and already.. my truck has almost been stolen.. basicly my aunt gets up really early.. saw the guy pounding away with a hammer in my truck.. called the cops.. guy got arrested.. BUT THEN.. My grandmother passed last thursday.. so I went to her viewing at the FUNERAL HOME Monday.. and some jerk off broke my driver side window.. and stole my 250 dollar stereo.... So i've already put a down payment on an alarm, power locks, and keyless start.. Will take her in on the 12th. Gah..


Update on V8

I got some pics of the 5.9L.. Stripped the pullies and wiring harness.. Will get them up ASAP.
Complete Rebuild on its way.

 

man that sucks. good thing mine is about 20ft from my bedroom window, loud enough to wake me up and half a block. i was also looking at the keyless entry/alarm. howmuch do they run with installation?

 

you can get a pretty decent one off ebay for under 300 bucks, and that has everything, remote start, keyless entry and alarm. pretty slick too, ive heard you can get some that work up to 3 miles away depending on conditions

Was going to sell the V8 and tranny, but I've got caught up on bills and payments and such.. So now me and my brother have a nice side project. Rebuilding the V8. I cant swap it out until i get some things changed out.. but im going to do a complete overhaul before I put it in.. Will try to keep you guys updated.. Going to try to get my bros camera and post the pics (camera i took the pics with).. Its just stock at the moment.. at least untili get my alarm.
My alarm was 465 Installed. Parts and Labor are covered. Getting Power Locks.. 50 dollars a door. Remote Start. Alarm. The alarm is one of the top end.. has a small LCD screen on the keychain.. lets you know things like.. Low Impact. High Impact.. etc. etc.. The one that was close to 600 allows you to put a camera inside the truck.. and you can use the LCD screen to watch.. If my check is big enouph.. im gonna go with that one. Will let you guys know.. but i think a basic alarm was only 250 - 350 Installed.. and the placeI use is kinda high.
