This is my ordeal. Just bought a 2000 2500 5.9 gas 4x4. Now my fuel pump stays on after I turn the truck off. Do I need to replace to fuel pump or relay or what. I am undoing the negative batt cable so it wont drain the batt. It also has 135k on the clock. Any help is appreciated I am kinda stumped.
not the fuel pump if it getting electricity when its not supposed to be getting it. relay; but i belive there are two possible relays that it can be. I'll get back with more info.
In the PDC (power distribution center.) While the pump is running, just pull the relay and see if it shuts off. If it does not, something is seriously rigged...
pdc is under the hood, drivers side, next to the battery. black plastic box with a cover that pulls off. diagram of relays and fuses on the underside of the cover.
