There was no strain at all put on the tranny...in fact I was keeping it between 55-60. Out of the blue this starts up. To me this hints electrical some way. I did just replace the plugs, distributor, rotor, wires. I wonder if I hit something. I don't think I did. It does not miss when idling.
TPS is 13 years old, Transmission control module is 13 years old. Bands have never been adjusted.
It still will shift into OD, it just won't stay there long. I really like to do my own stuff, but I think because of the age, I am going to have to take it to my mechanic. I have been going there for 19 years and I trust him.
My wife said when she was backing it in, she felt like it was slipping. The number one rule of trucks and women: if they say it is making a noise, you better check it!!!

Hmmm. I have never heard or seen anything written bad about any Lucus Products. The only bad things I ever heard about any oil was Shell Fire and Ice- it would actually shellac the inside of your engine. It was so bad, your mechanic could tell you what oil you were using. That was in the early 1970's. Pensoil had a high ash content supposedly.
I used the rest of the Lucasbottle, which was about a cup.
