Hey Indy, the space shuttle is faster then your truck too and it weighs more also.Your truck is slow.[sm=gears.gif] But they both put off flames so we'll call it a tie.

actually i think he'd beat it in the 1/4. the space shuttle takes forever from a dig.

Actually in the 1/4 mile I think Indy is faster as the space shuttle doesn't take off on it's own. In about the time the shuttle clears the launch pad, Indy has already let off the throttle.

That's just due to a bad gear ratio. Slap some 4.10's in the shuttle with a posi unit, some traction bars, and slicks and she'll launch much better.

I wonder how she'd do in the quarter if they launched her sideways?

Good lord....

Here are the stats. Racing is 95% HP to weight ratio....

2006 Honda Accord V6
244 Base HP
3415lbs
That is 14 pounds per HP.

1996 Dodge Ram 5.9L
230HP Stock
4530lbs
That is 19.7 pounds per HP.

Using basic math, if you were to equal the HP to weight ratio the Ram would need 323HP (100HP over stock)to have a comparable run to your Accord. Then you also have to factor in age. Not knowing Indy's mods, he may be experiencing higher than stock drive train loss from an oldertranny, gears, ect.

Congrats, your 10 year newer lighter car can run with the modded Ram, to bad it can not look as good doing it.
