I amlooking to replace my factory diff with the Auburn #542070.

http://www.4wheelerssupply.com/catal...470_496_22_505 $387 free S&H
http://www.adamsdriveshaft.com/positraction.htm$346 plus $20 S&H

Reckon this is my best choice for the best price since I use my truck to pull a 9000 lb fifth wheel.

BTW, I have 130,000 + miles on my original carrier and am only going to replace it because I am upgrading the gears to 4.10's.

Those are for the 9.25" though. Thats the model I went with and researched. Thats why I said I don't know what the prices on stuff are for the D60 out of the 2500 truck.

I paid $357 and $15 shipping I think and ordered it at like 2:30 or something and had it on my door the next morning. I only lived a few hours away though. Since I was in the same state I had to pay tax but it was the cheapest I found and a Auburn Authorized dealer.
My mistake. I missed the 2500 part of the post. Sorry!
I did that too at first thats why I thought I'd point it out for you.

All I can say to your overnight shipping charge is "OUCH". Might have been cheaper to rent a car for a couple days and use ground shipping.

Yeah shipping overnight might be expensive but I still think you paid too much. Shipping shouldn't be much if you don't do it overnight. Why not tell them other places are selling it cheaper and see if they will match that price. If not no harm but you might gain something if you show them that price at PORC in the other thread and ask if they can match it.

If not I probably would have still gotten it there like you did but I would try to get them to come down anyway. Like I said no harm in asking.

yeah but then you run the risk of pissing them off. I don't need to **** them off and have them do a half *** job. I used to work as a back up UPS clerk at work, overnight shipping is crazy expensive. Hell even to ship my laptop to TX they wanted like 100
