Wait you paid $50 for PIAA's for the headlights or for the corner parking lights? For headlight bulbs thats probably about right for corner light bulbs you got ripped off.

Funny I was just reading about the aftermarket turn signal lenses.
A bunch are being recalled.
Apparently if it doesn't have amber reflectors it doesn't meet DOT approval.
Better buy em while you can!

They never have met DOT approval if they don't have amber stuff in it. I'm surprised it took so long to "recall" them.

 

I guess if it is marketed as 'off road' that fine, maybe the one mfg was claiming there were a OEM equivalent?

 

A lot of time especially in the past they were DOT approved as the ones on my Honda have no amber in them at all and were all DOT approved or the box says so they just gave you amber bulbs to use with them to make them legal.

The ones I ordered have a reflector in the side just like the original one only the reflector isn't amber like on the OEM one. I doubt being off eBay they will be DOT approved but I don't know for sure.

 

I couldn't find LED's like I wanted for the price I wanted on eBay although I may order a set not sure. I went to Advance today and got some other bulbs but no leds. I was looking at the silverstar ones that are chrome looking with a little hint of amber but mostly chrome looking but light up amber. They had a set for $9.99 so thats with both of them. I may go get those for the corner lights when they come. I really wanted LED's as I don't like how the chrome looks inside the clear ones I've seen when off but oh well. I may just get those they are cheap and look decent.

 

So would these lights be illegal since there is no yellow side reflector?

I have SilverStar bulbs in my fogs, headlights, and corners. I bought them cause in the housing they look purple(hl's and corners). I wanna get these and put them in some black headlights(like Jason's)http://www.shopatron.com/product/pro...PIA19627/353.0
also i wanna put in Plasma Ion H11 Bulbs that are 55 watt instead of the 37.5 watt that the stock 893s put out.
