Default This ever happen to anyone else?

So!!! 11 months ago, almost to the day, somebody vandalized my truck, tearing out wires and vacuum lines from the underside of it!

Guess what?!!! They came back today!!! And I caught the little phuckers in the act!!!

Turns out it was the neighbors DOGS!!! Can you believe it? One is a weiner (Daschund) dog mix and the other is a Corgi mix. Both of 'em just the right height to walk under the truck and stick their little faces into stuff and start chewing!

I found the same vacuum lines torn out and some wiring under the driver's side headlight and a couple other places torn out! Now I hafta fix it AGAIN!!! GODDAMMIT!!! I just don't have time for this $hit!!! I can't afford to take it to a shop and have it fixed and I'm not gonna ask the neighbors to pay for it, they are about 85 years old and the old man has Alzheimer's. They are usually nice little dogs, but we almost played a game of football today when I caught the little monsters under my truck!!!

PHUCKIN' PISSED IN NM!!!

I'm sorry, maybe I'm just a cruel person, but if you think they have the money, I'd ask them to pay for at least part of it. They shouldn't let their dogs run free if they wander onto other people's property, especially if they cause property damage. If they do it repeatedly, like it sounds, and the couple refuses to correct the problem, I'd call up animal control the next time they do it.

Again, maybe I'm just cruel, but when people can't control their animals, it makes me a little mad. And in the cases where they don't care that they can't control their animals, I get really mad.

Just my two cents.

sorry to hear about that but at least now you know what the problem is. If you haven't already told the people who own the Dog's that they've done it, I would. Sucks that they are old and have problems of their own, but sheeze! It didn't just happen once. I would be hesitant to ask them for anything but if it happened 2 times, I'd have something brewing up inside me. At the very least, get a bigger Dog to keep those little wieners away from your truck. Either that or hang some live electrical wires around your truck on a bush or something for the neighbors Dogs to take a bite out of... Christmas lights should do just fine.[sm=smiley2.gif]

Yeah, it sucks but the old couple don't let the dogs out! It's their kids! They come over to visit and leave the gate open. I do have two dogs that are bigger, but I live in coyote territory so my dogs stay inside the fence.

I'm pissed that it happened, but I just wanna know if there is a way to keep it from happening again without giving the dogs a case of lead poisoning! And why did they do this in the first place? What would attract them to my truck in the first place? Would it be antifreeze? I really don't want to hurt the dogs, but I do want to stop them from doing this again!

thats too bad . I'd wait till they were out side , call them over to you all nice then blast em with your hose. five or six times and they wont wanna know anything about your yard . of if ya have an alarm wait till they are near the truck and set it off. I have a big dumb boxer and it only took 3-4 blasts from the air horn in a can to keep him off the couch, and that was 2 yrs ago

Or when you redo your wires/hoses, take something really nasty tasting but harmless and put it all over them. It would obviously have to be some sort of grease or something that doesn't wear off very fast.

Yes I forgot. got to the pet store there is this stuff called sour apple you spray it on and if the dog licks/tastes it he will have a harmless reaction if he even goes for it at all

And when the kids come over that let the dogs out, spray them with the hose 3 or 4 times, maybe they'll get the message.
