Default CB mounting

i plan on getting this cb here pretty soon http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=4642484.. but not sure where to mount it.. im thinking about cutting out my garage door opener holder and sun glass holder out of the over head consoleand mounting it there... anyone think this would be a good idea? if anyone has done this already can you post pics so i can see it? thanks alot

Just curious, do u need a permit to work one?

I'm a foreigner lol. In my country ya need a permit for walky talkies with more than 5 mile range. lol

the only one that i am aware of that you need a permit is a HAM radio

no permit needed, its a citizens band radio.

i mounted mine on my "underdash" (as i like to call it)

The common mounting spots are on the trans hump, in front ot the center seat. Do a google search for mounting a cb in a dodge ram and you get some good ideas. I'm putting mine on the left side of the transfer case pointing up.

A top mount is nice is you have a mini cb unit. I have a Cobra 29 and is too big to mount up, so I mounted it right below the ash tray and worked out just fine.

Also -in the USA there is NO permit needed as it's a FREE country. Maybe that's why all these illegal/legal immigrants keep flocking to our country to take our jobs, medical assistance, food stamps, and SO many more things that the US citizens CAN'T get themselves. BS if I may say so.
