That stuff will rust. They make cheap automotive grille (you can get it at most autoparts stores) that won't rust as much.

I did that to my dak and it looked real good. Make sure that you buy that "california" chrome spray paint or a bright metallic silver and paint over it and it will last a lot longer and look better. Your best bet is to shop around and buy true chrome or polished aluminum grating.
