Yo Gold

This is the Dodge Ram Gen 2 Forum. I don't think your Toyota is going to find a place in anyone heart here.

So Ram it or Cram it

It's always the guys complaining about the performance of their rams that don't have anything done to them. If you actually work to free up horsepower and do the necessary performance upgrades, you will be impressed with the way the 360 responds. Many of my friends all admit there is just something about a ram that beats out the compeitition. I just finished driving my friends 350 Chevy, and truthfully, it was a dud. It did not have any of the bite or power my truck has. But I'm sure if he put some headers, intake, and an exhaust on it, it would start to smarten it up. It's really not rocket science. If you want more performance out of your truck, start doing the little things, and slowly build the truck up. I'm nowhere near done, but it's always a work in progress. Anyways, I don't want to fight about something so minescule. Goldpro, I don't know why you insist on antagonizing or coming onto this dodge forum to talk about a tundra, I just think that is a bit much. But as others have said, lets keep it friendly. Later.

I'm curious as to why you just point out the exterior things I've done to the truck.... Why you choose to ignore all of the performance upgrades is mind boggling. It's not like I'm lying...truck does 0-60 in 8.5 seconds (that is modest)...and will spin the ****ing tires all night long. I'm sorry you are a dodge troll and want to lick the ***** of a newer truck, that is not my problem. I stand by my truck. And I maximize its potential. Everyone that bitches about their magnum are the people who haven't even done anything totheir engines. I just finished test driving my friends Chevy z71 with a 350. I was shocked when I felt how little torque and power it had compared to my ram. I floored it from the line and the truck just slowly worked its way up to 60, no juice in it whatsoever. You floor the pedal on my truck and the tires will spin and it will beast its way up to 60 with your back to the seat. However, not that I've replaced the transmission and redid the rearend , I have learned trucks are meant for work. I don't speed like I used to all the time. I select the right races now. And I put most trucks to sleep. Sure, line your boring new truck offt he lot against me, but guarantee I'll still look cooler even if I loose, that's all I give a **** about...****s.
Reason being, this is how all this began, you said you think the way a truck looks is the most important part. So... back to what I quoted you as saying... how Tint, fender flares, big tires, clear lights, and a loud exhaust were custom.

Then I see how you changed the conversation all over to performance.

You will certainly look cooler when you "loose".

I think your looking too much into the looks department. I think people just miss how simple it is to make a truck stick out. Just simple **** like always keeping it clean. If you keep it clean it will avoid rust. Simple crap like vacuuming out the interior once a week and putting a few wipes to the dash. Then little **** like some tint, and some aftermarket tailights or headlights to spice it up a little bit, THATS it. I don't really have much done to my truck looks wise either, but I always keep it clean. It's actually a pretty plain truck, just the way I like it, but it sticks out. Now I'm fully focused on performance, and everything I've done to the truck, it's responded very nicely and I have always been very pleased. I just see so many guys with trucks that just look like ****, they let the dirt sit on the paint, or their wheels are all rusted up. I'm extremely **** about stupid ****. Hell I even replaced the lugnuts because I just like seeing everything clean. I'm replacing a couple of my wheels because they have a couple chunks missing from them, little crap like that bothers me. But it's doing little stuff like that which goes a long way. I used to always be about making **** all flashy, but now I appreciate things that are just clean and non rusted. Even when I see a truck that's pretty much stock, I appreciate it because everything is clean simple and non rusted, just love that. I think a lot of guys here neglect the exterior because they think it's "gay, or all show no go"...but there is nothing wrong with a pretty looking truck. Once you've done the exterior part, all you got to do is focus on performance. That's all.

Mine has the plastic.. its staying.. as far as looks versus performance... I've always had old trucks with nicely done engines....kinda like the " looks stock but its not" thing.. besides... around here... nothing better then a beat up banged up dirty old truck kicking the crap out of some kids truck with alot of crap bolted on the outside..LOL we have a guy around the corner.. 68 years old, builds street machines for fun... has a rusted, dented '71 Chevy 2WD short bed nobody's beat yet..LOL Looks like hell but swallows 5.0 mustangs for breakfast.... the old guy luvs it....I did my motor...you guys saw the pics... not a work of art.. but its what I want... the outside doesnt mean anything to me..its a truck...Thats just my preference. Id rather have a great runner than a great looker.

That being said.. you did a great job on getting it off...good work!

I don't think a truck needs to have anything special done to the exterior. Just as long as it's dent free and rust free. I just think it's stupid when a truck has dents or rust and they think their cool because the motor is good. No one gives a **** about an ugly truck that can go fast. I would any rather have a nice looking truck that I could pick people up in without being embarrassed instead of having a dented rust bucket that could go go "0-60 under 7". At the end of the day, it's all about parking it in the driveway and then looking back at your baby all shiny and clean. It's just pure neglect from some people, and it's just so simple. Run it through a damn carwash once a week. Little **** goes a long way. Then you can have your fast truck without all the dents and rust..

LOL.. the old guy's got crowds around the thing every saturday night ...Like the old coot says.. " You can laugh if ya want.. I like seeing smiling faces in my mirrors..that way I dont feel so bad about beat'n ya...." Like the saying was put before.. trucks is for towin'..not showin'..
