Please stop using the term "mods". It makes you sound so dumb.

Do you honestly want everyone to type out "modification" every time? I'm a stickler for spelling and grammar but "mod" or "mods" doesn't bother me at all.
I dont think theres a problem with using abbriviations, but people talk about "mods" like its in a list of things to be done to reach "X" point (who knows what that is). " I did the air cleaner mod" "I did the coil mod" "What plugs should I get for my spark plug mod" "Whats the best exhaust mod?". Instead, "I changed my air cleaner" or, "I put in a diffrent coil", "What are the factory recommended spark plugs or something comparable?" "What exhaust setup is most appropriate for my purposes?".
People that overuse it or use it in the wrong context sound like they are 17 years old and dont have a clue about what they are talking about, Rightfully so sometimes.

Things that ARE modified, like the intake manifold..theres no problem in shorthanding that. Changing things out isnt modifying, its changing.
Good point. These kids go overboard sometimes. You know, like all the posts you see on various message boards (car audio is the worst BY FAR that I've seen) that have "txt tlk" in them. That drives me insane. They also beat the term "pwned" to death.

I think a modification depends on how you look at it. To me, modifying something is when you change something that either makes it appear differently or function differently. For example, changing the stock orange side markers out with clear corner lenses, to me, is a modification. It looks different from what came with the truck stock, hence it has been modified. Honestly though, I think anybody that has modified their vehicle, small or big change, should have the right to be proud of what they did. In the end, customizing and modifying a vehicle is for personal pleasure. Now I wouldn't go around including my window tint, smoked tail lights, clear corners, shorty antenna, and new lugnuts into my "modification list", but on the other hand, I think simple changes like that are noteworthy when I look at the truck and see all the little things I have done to make my truck stick out of the pack from the other Rams.

I was 19 when I started on here. I hate the word "mod" Quit picking on the younger guys. I have a midwest modified (asphalt) that I have been putting together. I cant stand to call it a mod like all the other guys. I agree with speaking some english. I will occasionally shortin words but only on short replies. Some of us (Even Me ) when we talk like that make us sound like hillbilles, an from what i have read on here there are a ton of smart people on here an plenty left that want to learn about there truck.
