custom front end
The tilted wheels bug the hell outta me. If your gonna do that make the wheels stright I think it totally kills the look of the truck. Guy has a droped ford a few houses up from my gf that has worse tire tilt then that. I seen it and thought wow that looks like **** I wonder how often he has to replace them
You have to do that. The spindles will never go low enough to drop your truck that low using stock spindle locations without tilting the wheels. Also it's like that because no one really drives with it dropped that low. You'd be bottoming out on everything. So when you want to drivethe truck you raiseit. If you had the wheels straight when lowered they'd go something like this.
Lowered= || ||
Driving height = \ \ / /
Where as if they're tilted lowered it looks like this.
Lowered = / / \ \
Driving = | | | |
The rear is a completely different story. When you drop the rear it always stays rigid. So to make the wheels tuck you have to cut your frame and put a c-notch. Which makes a frame go from this ____ to this _/\_. Which allowsthe axle totuck into the frame. Giving you up to 12" of drop on a ram. Which anyone whohas ever lowered a ram with a 2/4 kit an idea of just how low that is. You'd basically be laying the frame on the ground at that point.
