no offense, but man do you ask the weirderst questions, 4x4 to 4x2, changing the body, lowering a 4x4. Whats next?

Sell your 4x4 and buy the truck that you want

I agree but, to answer your question, no, I have never seen or heard of such a conversion. You'd have to change a lot and I don't know that the frame or any other mounting point is the same or even close for that matter.

My dad asked me about that for my truck, since we need close to a whole front clip anyway to repair the damage, but they're a lot harder to find in junkyards and would be a bit more expensive.

I have seen third-generation headlights put on second-generation rams, but I'm not sure how difficult it would be.

You also need to keep in mind that the grille on the 3rd gens is much larger, and since it is attached to the hood, you would have to swap the hood over, as well, which means the fenders would have to be replaced, too. Basically, you're talking about replacing everything forward of the windshield.

listen I work at a custom car shop doing these kinds of things all the time it's alot harder then it sounds unless you have all the metal working tools a good welder all that stuff it's not gonna be easy then you have to make the body lines of the new sheet metal match up to the body lines of your pickup it's gonna end up costing you alot more than you wanna spend, what im trying to say is think about what you wanna do before you do it.

You can do anything to any vehicle if you have enough money. Money will get you anything. No money, no jazzy truck.

LMC truck sells those kits for GM and I saw someone install one on TRUCKS or something. I have never seen a Ford or a Dodge kit, which means the frames must not be compatable. Jeep has had the same frame on some going back to the sixties. On some show I saw, they took offaJeepgrill and there where round headlight holes (it had square headlights).

You guys remember T-Rex? the 6x6? Money+welding skills=crazy trucks.

Actually the original T-Rex was a concept of Chrysler. The first "T-Rex" was in 1997. Chrysler came up with this protype just before teaming up with Daimler in 1998. Daimler didn't like the idea because they viewed the truck too extreme for the general public. Not to meantion the extremely high sticker price. If only the merger hadn't happened. Who knows what would have been.
