Thats not a throttle body, thats a throttle body spacer. When you install it, you sit it on top of the throttle body. And they don't work for our trucks... you'd be paying almost $100 for a paper weight.

Save your $$$ for a Fastman. Its worth it.
I thought they went under the throttle body.
You are correct. The throttle-body spacer sits underneath the throttle body, between it and the manifold.

You want better mileage out of a 4wd truck that weighs over 2 tons?
1) Drive 55-60
2) Drop your tire size to no larger than 265 and get a highway tire like the Goodyear Wilderness.
3) Synthetic will not even get you 2 mpg, even Mobil says that on their website.
4) People make outrageous claims and never seem to have proof, and it always seems to be 2mpg. "I replaced my stock air sytem with a______ and got 2mpg (a lie) "I replaced my exhaustand got 2mpg" (I just did this magnaflow cat and super 44, new plugs, Holley FreFlo, cap, rotor, 8mm wires, and I drive 55-60 with a 2wd and may just get 2mpg). If I do, it will be a combination of things.
5) Cover the bed with a hard tonneau, or at least a soft one. No, you won't get 2mpg, but you might get 1.
6) It is a 360. Say that until you under stand what the job of a 360 is. Then you will be okay with you mileage, and take it like a man.

not really what I was asking, asking for an increase in power as well..Yes I know Im not going to get 20MPG out of my truck. The throttle body spacer claimed for an increase in MPG, but since it doenst work I was asking if there was anything else that could increase MGP along with POWER. But thanks for the smart comments anyhow...

Any increase in power almost always comes with an increase in fuel consumption (that's how power is made). Any product on the market that claims both is almost always full of BS. The only install I ever did that I saw a increase in performance and an increase in mpg was when I did the Fastman TB, better flowing air intake (CAI at the time), and high flow muffler combo. This did not make more (new) power, but rather freed up the overly restricted factory system. I saw mpg improvements in the 2-4 mpg range, with noticably better performance too.

Making the truck breath better in and out should help MPGs, With that said like the original poster I know im not gonna get 20+ MPG out of a 360 but I was asking real world experiance! To anyone that has replied in this thread have you had or do you have a TB spacer???? I would like answers from those that do or did! I know you cant believe everything you read and that some if not all the claims the manufacture makes is just hot air! TB spacers have been around since the days of carbs! I know that on carbs it can make a slight difference! So there is a possibility that it can on a TB. Yea getting a 52mm TB is the proper way to go about things but for those of us that cant shell out that kind of money on a whim needsomething a bit cheaper to improve performance and possibly MPGs. I average about 10.5 MPG right now and if I could boost that up by 1 or 2 I would jump for joy! I change my oil and do minor tune up stuff every 3000 miles if not sooner! Its cheap enough to do that, but I would still like something that might help with MPGs and throttle respnse and overall power!

With that said can someone with real world experiance with a TB spacer chime in or to the ones that have already made claims say if that do or did have one????

A spacer will do nothing for your truck, ask turkeyhunter1962. He owns one of those fabulous paperweights.

and don't ask about one of those tonados either. It's the same thing as the spacer just further from the intake manifold.

it's funny, i replaced my plenum, tc, water pump (all in another thread) and my gas was originally at E when i started, but the computer is relearning the mixture, so it gained me another gallon that the computer doesnt have to spew out. I thought it was kinda cool.

I call BS on the 18mpg highway. Have you actually hand calculated it? I've never seen that high out of my truck checking it by hand. I've seen in the 14's highway and thats about it. Your city seems about right if you can keep your foot out of it.
