Thats not a throttle body it's a throttle body spacer and they are worthless on these trucks. They don't do anything because they are tb injected. If you want a throttle body the only ones I'd consider are Fastman, APS, and F&B. The last two if you can find one. The Fastman is probably the cheapest and easiest to come by.

Thats not a throttle body, thats a throttle body spacer. When you install it, you sit it on top of the throttle body. And they don't work for our trucks... you'd be paying almost $100 for a paper weight.

Save your $$$ for a Fastman. Its worth it.

If you haven't done it already, a basic tune-up. New wires, cap, rotor, plugs. If you have the stock air cleaner box, replace it with the round air cleaner or get a CAI. Looks like you already have the exhaust at least partly done... did you keep the stock size pipe and just replace the muffler, or did you get a cat-back system, or...?

I have everything listed in my signature, and I get roughly 10.5 mpg in town (98% of my driving). Haven't been on the highway recently, but I'm expecting fourteen-ish depending on the wind. I'm also somewhat of a lead foot, and that really doesn't help the MPGs a lot.

Tomorrow or Wednesday I am going to be replacing my cap, rotor, and wires. I grabbed some of those Autolite Professional wires from Advance, and got a brass cap and rotor from O'Reilly's. It'll be my first time doing it myself, so we'll see how it goes.

There are other threads with this topic as well, I'd do a search for them. Many, many more tips.

Im glad someone brought this up cuz I was curious about it! They advertise a gain in throttle response, performance as well as MPGs! I would like to hear form people that have one or have had on on their trucks!?! I am looking to do some fuel saving upgrades to my truck and was looking into on of these cuz just like the original poster an actual throttlebody is a bit out of my price range right now!

Is a spacer at 50-100 bucks worth getting for a little better MPGs and possibly throttle response? Or what in that general price range (maybe just a bit more) is worth it?

This question was answered in the posts above. Can you not read?

Throttle body spacers are junk.

Ok I had a feeling I was saying something wrong when I typed that.

Whatever they are they make TB Spacers useless. You wont see that little big better gas milage or a little better throttle response for the guy asking so no it wouldn't be worth it.
