Run your Ram on water?
I wish I'd bought an older VW diesel sedan a few years ago and converted it to veggie oil. There's a guy in my area who did that with his older Mercedes and hasn't paid for a tank of fuel in over two years.
And FYI to ron333 -- Hydrogen is much more volatile than gasoline. I attended a science demonstration at the local college, with my son, a few years ago. The professor had balloons with different gasses in them, one of which was hydrogen. When he put the flame against the hydrogen filled balloon and it popped, we could feel the intense amount of heat and even the shockwave of the explosion from 12' away. And that was just a minute amount of fuel.
No thanks.

Hydrogen is extremely explosive. Remember Fat Man & Little Boy, the bombs dropped on Japan, they were hydrogen bombs. Not sure I would want a compressed tank of hydrogen attached to my truck if in an accidentor to the truck of someone that may decide they like Alah better than the United States!. Just my opinion though. Jeff.

And hyrdogen might be the most abundant element in the universe, but here on planet Earth, it is nearly impossible to find in a pure state. It must be extracted from compounds, such as water. Hydrolysis is the process whereby we extract hydrogen from water, and it requires large amounts of energy.
Dusty_Duster, that's correct almost. Little boy was actually a uranium bomb. Fat Man was the platonium bomb. But I do stand corrected. Jeff.
"Oppenheimer reorganized Los Alamos in August 1944. He refocused most of the laboratory's efforts on developing a successful method to implode plutonium. By early spring 1945, the design for the implosion gadget was set. This new plutonium bomb, called Fat Man, was such a radical departure from established technology that doubts about its success made necessary the test, codenamed Trinity, conducted in July 1945.
Although most of the effort at Los Alamos centered on implosion development, work continued on a uranium gun device, which was renamed Little Boy. Uranium presented few technical problems, and success seemed certain enough that no proof test of Little Boy was required."

An interesting article on Hydrogen as an automotive fuel

I didn't read the whole thing but this quote caught my eye
"there is NO natural supply of Hydrogen, anywhere on Earth"
