Default Not a Dodge but need help with a Honda

This is on a 1996 Honda Accord EX so it's the 2.2L Vtec motor. I'm hoping to be able to get help fairly quickly as I would like to get this thing back on the road. It started getting hot tonight according to the gauge and steam was coming out near the back of the motor. When looking it was anitfreeze coming out of this spot in this hose. The hose doesn't exactly look like it's a split it looks more like it was made like that but I'm assuming it's not am I correct? Do I just need to replace this hose or is there something else I need to do? What exactly in involved and whats the hose called? Any tips? Does this look like my problem? Here are pictures of the hose it was coming out of.
It's behind the dist sort of at the back of the motor.

You can see circled in red here where the hole in the hose is. It's really hard to see being night so I assume it's part of the hose still as it looked like it.

I had a friend who had the same issue, I dont know much about it, but I do know that it needed to be fixed, and that the best way to do it is to replace the hose completely, he tried just fixing it, and the pressure that can sometimes be in those hoses can be astounding, think about the fact that it can sometimes be high enough in pressure that it can damage the hose just out of its pure pressure. But if I recall it is a fairly cheap fix. Good luck, I hope I helped

It looks like a heater hose. Where does the other end of that hose go? Heater core?

yeah i had the same problem with my 95 civic towards the back of the motor, i was going 80 down the freeway and poof. but yeah you need to get it fixed, i drove mine home almost 20 miles back home after it happened with no problems. It was a pretty cheap fix if i remember, but it was a pain in the azz to get your hands down there. i had no ramps so it was a pain, but the hose and ease besides that was easy.

So can you get it off without removing stuff? I just quickly look at it since it was dark out. I'm not wure what it went to to be honest as I didn't check too much into it.

I do work for a Honda dealer.. had one of the techs look at the pic. He said it looks like the heater hose that goes from the head to the heater core. I searched the parts catalog and this is the closest I could find to match that description and your pic. Just trying yo help... get secondopinion to be sure.

What was Honda thinking putting the distributor on the front of the engine where you could get at it. Don't they know it is supposed to be hidden in the back were light can't reach it?!
