Bit the bullet
Well today I picked up a round air cleaner. I got a cheap 40 dollar one from pepboys. I seen it had a weird base that goes in, in the center. I read either on here or dodge talk that a guy had to use risers to make one fit so not knowing if I got that setup which i think I do I bought a riser set. I set the cleaner on my tb and it swallowed it and was sitting on the intake. The hole in the cleaner is huge. Are they all like that? I don't know if the riser set i bought will even close up the hole. I hope to mess with it tomorrow so I'll be able to see more but does this all sound normal?
Also how do you get the plastic thing out of the vc that has the line going to the stock air box? Itlooks like the pvc valve but its not.
I also plan to get a new cap and rotor tomorrow so i can change all that while the air cleaner is off.
Hope this peps it up a bit. I kinda raced a lifted Ford today and kinda lost lol. It was fun anyway thats the first time I ever got anybody that wanted to run. I think when my car was running they were scared to mess with me

whats the part # of the AC ? , that plastic piece does come out of the valve cover but there a PITA to get out and yes a big hole in the center of the AC... look at my gallery you will see my AC..
Yup that will fit your TB 5-1/8 neck , it has a drop base , if thats all they have then thats what you got to work with , kinda want 0 - 1/2" raised neck , but that riser you got will work with the air cleaner you got..
I just did mine yesterday it only took me like 30 minutes or so. I used the 1/2" riser with the Eddy Proflow 14". Very cool and easy way to wake up the motor a little bit, I really noticed it when towing my boat today
Ended up having to use the 1" riser. Took me for ever to get the damns bolt the right size. I got my new cap and rotor today got the Napa brass one. I threw that on and the MSD SF wires. It runs a little better in OD i noticed a big difference once I turned the od off. I got a couple pics but they are kinda dark and I'm tired so I'll take some tomorrow and post them up
