But the output will not be as good as it could be.

By all means, put the kit in if you want to. I don't care. it's not my truck. your just better off with a clear lens than a scattered one.

Here's a photo of my Grand Am that I put HID's in. I don't have a picture of the light output from inside the car though, but you can tell, it's better with the clear lens. I know, I've put HID's in a car with a scattered lens and one with a clear lens.

.

Thats exactly what I want, it to not be as light as it could be. For those of us who live in densely populated areas with lots of police, they last thing we want is to draw attention. I've installed HID's as well in a WRX. With clear lenses you are more of a harm to other motorists.

Forget that.

Then what's the point of putting in HID's?

Go get some Xenon knock offs then.

If I were going to get one today (if I had the $$$), I would go with this kit personally.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/9004-...215416711&

EuroDezigns sounds like a cheesy name, but I have used their bulbs for a couple years now. Awesome bulbs, awesome upgrade from crappy Sylvanias with the stock headlights and my newer clear housings. And they have always honored their lifetime warranty (the two times I've returned bulbs), I have never had a problem with them. Once, the bulb failed because I had touched it and not wiped it off, just installed it. Blew in a couple of hours. They didn't care, they replaced it.

It does come to about $265 shipped, though.

Thats a single beam kit do you have a link to a bi xenon kit? I'm tempted to order a set right now but I've already spent too much money this month and last so trying to hold back.

Oh okay I didn't see that. Thanks for pointing it out. I'm just trying to decide if I want to get them now or not.

If I wasn't purchasing my first shotgun or two here, I would be getting my kit.

Did you already spend your stimulus check?

Nice what kind of shotgun are you getting? I like guns too but already have quite a few. While I wouldn't mind getting a few new ones to add to my collection I think the HID kit is more likely right now to come first.

Nope I don't qualify for one. However 8k or so just got spent on my truck not long ago, about 7-800 on the dirtbike last month and I've spent quite a bit these past two months on other toys. I just am starting to think I'm wasting too much money on toys so thats whats holding me back. I'm very tempted to go ahead and order that HID kit but I really can't decide. I'm super close to getting one though.

I kind of want to hear from more guys that have them in the stock non sport housings. I don't want to upgrade housings right now but I don't want them to be worse or even the same as stock in these current ones. If they are still an improvement I may upgrade if not I wont waste my money right now.

BTW 01DodgeRam does your brothers F-350 with them have clear headlights or do they have the texture to them?
