lol, I love you you constantly reassure yourself. That is deffinetly your prize quality Neon

Glad to hear the truck is running good, and you've owned up to your family's expectations of you hauling the excavator. Agreed 7 miles isn't going to hurt anything. Also glad to hear the truck is fun to drive again. However I don't think you should take such a negative view on lifts and big tires just yet. If you'd have a had a proper lift your truck would have been just as stable as it is now. 3" is not that high, and 35s are not much bigger than 33s. Now with 12" or lift an 40" tires yeah, you would not want to go above 65 on the highway.

Post us up some good pictures, and take it easy on your speeding. I'd hate for your next post to be reporting that you did something dumb. and give those ******** at the transmission shop hell. You're not at *******, they are. So quit acting like a ***** and pull out your ***** and tell those dip****s what's up.

Also, to figure out your real gas mileage you should fill up your tank, reset your trip tick, and then re-fill the tank, and devide the amount of miles on the trip tick, by the gallons of gas it took to fill the truck back up. The console isn't known to be incredibly accurate, however I'm sure it is doing better than before with the smaller tires.

I've been telling him to ignore the console's reports of MPGs for many threads now. He just ignores me.

Glad you got her all done the way ya like her, Neon. As soon as you get pics up, you can concentrate on even more upgrades for it.

I know these aren't the best of quality photos, but I took these with my phone. Most people don't even know I lowered the truck. Obviously I can tell, but I love it. It's the perfect height for me, and is still taller than most half tons and three quarter tons. It's also great knowing that it's stock, and doesn't have any weird stress on suspension components anymore. Anyway, here is what she looks like with the lift off and the 285s.

That truck still looks darn good to me. I really like how it looks. It's a great looking truck. When are you going back for them to do work on the transmission?

Thanks Will. Well she goes back to the transmission shop tomorrow morning. Mark said he'd probably need it for about 3-4 days, so hopefully I'll get it back before the weekened.

Odd question here, but does anyone know what my GVW is for my truck with the 4.10 gearing?

Yeah the sticker inside the door jamb should have it. You going to ask for the build sheet tomorrow or have you decided not to do that?

I will ask for build sheet while I'm there.

Here are a couple other videos of the truck with the lift off and 285s. Thing is a little monster now lol.

Good deal on asking for the build sheet. I'm really curious to see what exactly is in there. If he gives you a funny look or asks why, you can always use the excuse that when you sell it later down the road, you'll need to provide proof of the HD tranny to prospective buyers.

Good luck.

And I'm not sure how you were trying to link those videos to us, but it didn't work.

Excellent thought about the build sheet. I was trying to figure out a way that would give me a justified gateway to ask. Just felt weird asking three months later for it, I will do exactly that. Sorry about the links, I'm working on getting them uploaded on youtube. They are just a couple cute little cellphone videos, but gives you the gist[8D]
