Asking for a muffler preference is like asking who's hotter: blondes, brunettes, or redheads. You'll get a lot of compelling arguements for every type of muffler, but they're all biased on who's currently trolling the forum and what they are currently running.

There's a thread called "Let's hear your RAM!" Look for that one and listen to the different clips and try to make a decision based on that.

Yup they said it. Try searching. Anyway I like my Flowmaster 40. Sounds awesome. Sometimes I wish it was a little quieter but most of the time it's perfect.

I have a stainless steel Magnaflow Muffler, not that expensive, good low end rumble, and it mellows out and barely noticeable at highway speeds.

A 50 series flowmaster mite be your ticket , not loud but enough to make people look , but again a 40 series will do the same thing.. maybe a magnaflow will work for you ..i have the delta 40 series and she is loud (i like it)

I have the Thrush version of the Flowmaster, it is a 2 chamber design and I like the sound it has on the truck.

See, now I have the 40 delta flow as well, and I wouldn't necessarily say it is loud, but its very deep, if you I want to annoy ppl in my truck that don't like it I hover right at about 1800 RPM very deep sound there. I'd like to try the regular 40 series.

muffler? who needs a muffler. i had a 40 series on my truck and it sounded to weak for me so i put aset of thrush glass packs on it and it sounded really good. the reason i put the glass packs on it was because with my thunderbird i put straight pipes and it popped at about 2000 rpm. but what i didn't take into consideration with my truck is that i have 8 cylinders pushing through one pipe then exiting out two side pipes (split with a y pipe after the cat) and on my thunderbird i had 3 cylinders pushing through each pipe. anyway my exhaust came unclamped between the y-pipe and the cat one day and thats what made up my mind on the straight pipes and to make it pass inspection i went to a muffler shop and got a used muffler, cut it in half long ways with a sawzall, cleaned it out and welded the shell over my y-pipe. so it looks legal and it has an agressive sound.
