Asking for a muffler preference is like asking who's hotter: blondes, brunettes, or redheads. You'll get a lot of compelling arguements for every type of muffler, but they're all biased on who's currently trolling the forum and what they are currently running.
There's a thread called "Let's hear your RAM!" Look for that one and listen to the different clips and try to make a decision based on that.

i have tried the search but it never works for me. i dont know if its my comp or what but it never works. and im just trying to see whats most common. listening on a comp doesnt tell me anything because it doesnt sound like it would on a truck. i dont have a bosespeaker system just a little ol laptop.im just looking for a nice rumble something that will grab people's attention but levels out like murph states.

very deep sound there. I'd like to try the regular 40 series.
muffler? who needs a muffler. i had a 40 series on my truck and it sounded to weak for me so i put aset of thrush glass packs on it and it sounded really good. the reason i put the glass packs on it was because with my thunderbird i put straight pipes and it popped at about 2000 rpm. but what i didn't take into consideration with my truck is that i have 8 cylinders pushing through one pipe then exiting out two side pipes (split with a y pipe after the cat) and on my thunderbird i had 3 cylinders pushing through each pipe. anyway my exhaust came unclamped between the y-pipe and the cat one day and thats what made up my mind on the straight pipes and to make it pass inspection i went to a muffler shop and got a used muffler, cut it in half long ways with a sawzall, cleaned it out and welded the shell over my y-pipe. so it looks legal and it has an agressive sound.
