I was just curious if anybody thought it would be worth rebuilding a tranny before it takes a dump. If the torque converter ruins so much stuff when it goes out, how much would it cost to replace just that? Would new clutches and bands be in order as well?

I'm pretty big on preventative maintenence and was just curious as to whether or not that might be cost effective.
