Default Skid plate question

I was pondering last night. I'm pretty sure that 4x4 Ram's come with skidplates underneath, and I was wondering if that skid plate would fit a 4x2 model. If so, would it be a direct bolt on?

I'm curious as I have already junked one tranny crossmember and I would like to add some extra protection down there. I have an 01 4x2 318.

I dont see why it wouldn't! You'll need the brace for the rear of the plate also.Get one from a junk yard and you can modify it a little if it doesn't fit.

BTW, it only goes towards the front of the cross member like maybe 2 inches with an upwards bend. It is deigned for protecting the transfer case really. If you are bottoming out that much it is still going to do damage to the cross member.
