Default Lincoln electric fan ?'s

My buddy was cleaning out his garage and gave me an electric fan from a mid 90's Lincoln Continental 3.8 v6. Is this the same fan as the Mark VIII fan? And will this fan keep my 5.9 gasser cool? Thanks.

Is that the one with the Flat fins or the s-curved fins? The Mark VIII fans are flat, triangle shaped fan blades. The S curved blades move about 300CFM's less.

If you tow heavy loads or do a lot of hard hill climbing, I wouldn't go under 4000CFM for the rated fans. I think that Mark VIII fan is right about 3750CFM and they draw about 35 amps so you might need to upgrade the alternator.

S shaped blades, need to get a 75 or 80 amp 4 or 5 post relay. Good luck finding one they are tough. Dont need to upgrade the alt.

Would I be able to use the relays out of a Continental with a 3.8 L?
