Whats the most it cost you to fill up?
Not trying to complain here like you see every soo often. Not that I'm happy about it just that I don't see complaining doing any good. Anyway whats the most you have paid to fill up your truck?
Cost me $104 today. I think thats the most I've ever put in it. It had gotten down on the E mark. The gas light had been on for a bit and the needle was on the E. I put premium gas in from BP as it seems to run the best and get the best gas mileage off of BP gas. It was $4.19 a gallon. Anyway just wondering If anyone else has put more than this in.

I paid $95.00 over last weekend. Took roughly 24 gallons @ $3.94 per gallon for 87 octane (I like to run mid-grade 89). It's now over $4.00 here in Oregon, so I guess I got the last good deal I'm going to get for awhile, if not forever. Not complaining either like you said, love driving the off-road, but geez it's getting spendy....
$111.92 last week.
29.077 gallons at $3.849 at the pump. It really hits home when you hemorrhage a Ben Franklin into the tank.
But the way I look at it, gas would have to go to about $6.50 a gallon to offset getting a new vehicle like a Prius that could quadruple the truck's current gas mileage. I fill up 3 times a month so roughly 90 gallons for easy math. That's $346.41 @ $3.849 per gallon. At $6.499 a gallon, that's $584.91. A guy I know that owns a Prius told me he gets right at 48mpg, that's about 4X my gas mileage. So $584.91/4 = $146.23 which leaves $438.68 for a car payment and higher insurance to make it basically a wash at that point. And that's a Prius.
I could start looking at used cars but by the time that I hit the point to even offset that, I'd be getting something I don't know the history of. I know what's been done to this truck and I know it's been babied. That means something to me. My truck is my only vehicle, I don't have need of it if it's just gonna sit in the drive, but I'm not trading it in for somebody else's headache.

Luckily we have a 06 Accord V6 6Speed that gets around 30-35mpg. 30 if you drive it like I want to but if you drive like a Grandma you can get 35mpg out of it. We have a 96 Accord and 94 Chevy Caprice too which also get better mileage than the truck but neither as good as the newer Accord. I think the old one gets around 27 and the Caprice high teens to low 20's if I'm remember right. I just like the truck best. Well, it's a wash between it and the 06 Accord they both are fun to drive however I find myself driving the car more than I used to do to gas prices. Doesn't hurt that the Accord is a lot faster it however just isn't a truck, doesn't have the nice stereo the truck does, doesn't have all the other mods on the truck. Just isn't the same.
