Default Silverstar ultras...worth it $$$ ??

I did a search but I didn't come up with much. My headlights are terrible, and I think it's cause the previous owner put those bulbs in that throw a bluish light. A pair of Silverstar ultras are $50 at Advanced Auto. Anybody have experience with these? Are they worth $50??

Buy them off eBay if you can wait a bit for shipping. Cheaper.

Otherwise, I recommend Eurodezigns. Sounds cheezy, but they are the best and brightest legal bulbs I've found so far. They are brighter than Sylvanias. I tried the SilverStars and Ultras, both are worse.

eBay.

I know I sound like an eBay junkie, sorry. Posting a lot about eBay recently.

EDIT: You can also get them from www.eurodezigns.com They also sell HID conversion kits.

i bought a set of ultra's. they were about $40 - a $10 rebate. they were better than stock, but they still sucked.

i'll get flamed about this, but what works for me is the Brite-Box. when you turn on the brites, it lights up the brights and the dims, same as when you pull on the handle on the column and they're both on for a moment. its about $95 bucks and you connect one wire to the battery, one to ground and plug it into the drivers side headlight connector. easy as pie and you can really see on brites. dims still suck.

sport (4 headlights) is different from non-sport (2 lheadights)

If you really want the best vision a HID retrofit seems to be the only way to go. This is putting the projectors for HID's into the housings. From the research I've done it seems like people say pnp HID kits don't work well in these stock headlight housings.

For bulbs I like my Farneheits okay but I don't know that they are much brighter than stock if any. Probably about the same but look better. I've tried several kinds and never found anything that were all that impressive.
