If you get beat by a ricer does that mean he's putting down 300hp? [sm=boink3.gif]

Am I the only one that recalls someone saying a time ago that (in so many words)"I will never race again, Iv grown up, Im more mature now and know whats the wrong thing to do, no more 0-60 videos, no more burnouts..."

Tigers dont change their stripes.

How big is your savings account for your next trans?

Yes, it means with your K&N, long tubes, and exhaust, you are putting down 300 hp. Add a couple stickers, and you'll get 400.

All it means is you have better acceleration. Like others said, could be your gears, could be the fact that your truck breathes better, or any combination of those and others not mentioned. What kind of upgrades did he have?

At least he hasn't figured out if he does a brake stand in 4-wheel drive he can spin all 4 tires at the same time.

I have a question. I raced my friends '06 F-150, 300 h/p. We raced from 0-75mph and I beat him by a truck length the entire way. Does this mean I have over 300 h/p or what??
Chances are he has a higher gear ratio than you. Probably 3.54 or whatever the for ratios are. Actually probably 3.73. You don't see too many trucks with 3.55 gears anymore.

Anyways the only way for you guys to figure this out is for both of you to race again the whole way to top end, but chances are his truck, being newer, has a governor set at 95 or something ghey like that.

It wasn't really a big deal what I'm asking here. His truck is stock. He told me his truck has 300 h/p and that it would wipe me up. So we hit a light and he started setting up. So I said alright whatever I'll give it a shot. Light turned green and we took off. Call me crazy, but 75mph gives plently of time or any vehicle to go through it's powerband. I beat him fair and square. This transmission is designed for "performance", or so they say. So why shouldn't I enjoy it every once and awhile? Some of you guys are too uptight[8D]

I don't know that they are being too uptight. Sure they told you the transmission is designed for performance but how many other lines did they feed you? I don't know that I would count on it being too heavy duty especially since they wont give you a buildsheet. If it was that heavy duty they wouldn't hesitate to prove it and I don't think you'd have all these other issues.
